A key member of our communications team, Isabela brings her expertise and enthusiasm to both Be the Change Group’s client projects and its internal communications activities.

Isabela has honed her skills as a writer and communications strategist for more than 15 years in post-secondary institutions, government, newsrooms, and marketing agencies. Her areas of expertise include strategic communications planning, media relations, copywriting and editing, website management and content development, and all things internal communications.

While her curiosity and empathy for others make her a natural storyteller, her background in journalism drives her to create content that is accessible, informative, and always accurate. Her perfect weekend would include brunch with her husband, a long walk with her dog Max, and a RuPaul’s Drag Race viewing party at home with friends.

Isabela holds a BA in Art History and English from the University of Alberta; an MA in Art History, Visual Arts and Theory from the University of British Columbia; and an MA in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario.
