At Be the Change Group, we believe that the more accessible and clear health resources available to the community, the better! So when the opportunity to work with the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) came up, we jumped on it.

At Be the Change Group, we believe that the more accessible and clear health resources available to the community, the better! So when the opportunity to work with the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) came up, we jumped on it.

In April of 2015, the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine 13 (PCV13) was being recommended and made available to people living with HIV and BCCDC wanted a promotional campaign aimed at HIV+ individuals in BC. To ensure that this information effectively reaches the community of people living with HIV we conducted focus groups and a provincial survey of people living with HIV in order to identify their concerns and interests regarding how receiving information about PCV13.

Using our findings from our engagement with people with lived experiences, we worked closely with the BCCDC and the community to create innovative, informative, and complete resources that contribute to improved health and well being of individuals living with HIV.
