Featured project
Raising awareness about antibiotic use and misuse
British Columbia (B.C.) residents over the age of 65 are among the most at-risk groups for antimicrobial resistance-related (AMR) illnesses, which are infections from bacteria that are resistant to the current antibiotics used to treat them. The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) Community Antimicrobial Stewardship (CAS) program has taken the lead in addressing AMR in B.C. and saw that more needed to be done to reach these residents. So, in fall 2021, CAS partnered with Be the Change Group to launch a province-wide media campaign. And the reach was astounding.
