I am passionate about stories and community, and innovation and ideas.

Kevin is a communications expert whose work focuses on public health and human rights. His experience includes working with international organizations and community-level non-profits, where he has developed campaign, advocacy, and digital engagement strategies and provided government and media relations support.

Kevin is currently the senior manager of public relations at the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research, the largest private funder of HIV and AIDS research in Canada. Previously, he was the director of communications for Pivot Legal Society, a non-profit organization that uses the law to address the root causes of poverty and social exclusion. He also managed communications and media relations for the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, with his work primarily focused on improving the health of individuals and communities by promoting research to inform public policy.

Kevin has developed communications and engagement strategies for several national international AIDS conferences; a campaign to raise awareness of the harms associated with cannabis prohibition, Stop the Violence BC; and campaigns calling for establishing a right to adequate housing and promoting the rights of people who use drugs. His areas of focus include access to treatment, drug policy, public health, and housing justice.

Kevin is also the former editor-in-chief of Megaphone, a magazine sold on the streets of Vancouver that provides employment opportunities for homeless and low-income people. He previously served on the boards of Street Corner Media Foundation, which publishes Megaphone, and PACE Society, an organization providing low-barrier programming and support to Vancouver sex workers.

Following a BA in English Literature from Carleton University, Kevin completed a diploma in Publishing from Simon Fraser University.
