Ara employs his unique educational experiences in climate change and population health to provide our clients with alternate perspectives that have a multi-level impact within communities we serve.

Passionate about sustainability, education, social entrepreneurship, and empowering groups to access and use their collective intelligence, Ara has completed several placements and internships in various engineering companies and with the International Human Dimensions Programme (IHDP) at the United Nations University in Bonn, Germany. He currently works at the UBC Centre for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL), developing curriculum for courses around community service learning pedagogy. Ara is also on the board of advisors for the Initiative for Equality (IfE), and is supporting a new grassroots alternative business school in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Ara received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC), and attended Lund University for the International Master’s Programme in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science (LUMES).
