About the role

As a Consultant Copywriter, you will play an important role in developing, writing, and editing a range of written materials that support the strategic objectives of Be the Change Group and our clients. 


  • Writing executive summaries, impact reports, research reports, proposals, website copy, training materials, multimedia materials, and copy style guides 
  • Standard copyediting of a wide range of materials 
  • Copyediting specific to research and technical writing 
  • Proofreading 


  • Mastery of the rules of English grammar 
  • Solid understanding of Canadian, British, and American English writing conventions
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian Press Stylebook 
  • Experience in assessing and adapting content for different reading levels
  • Proven ability to adapt writing style for various clients, audiences, purposes, and media requirements
  • Understanding of data visualization
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Google Docs
  • Basic understanding of Adobe InDesign, WordPress
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices strongly preferred
